The Sound Healing Course at Shreem Yogshala is a 7 day residential immersion into vibrational healing — set in the serene surroundings of North Goa. Across seven days you will learn to work with Tibetan singing bowls, and other sacred instruments to facilitate deep physical, emotional, and energetic healing in yourself and others.
It is one of the most sought-after offerings in our yoga training in Goa — open to complete beginners and experienced wellness professionals alike.
This course welcomes everyone — no prior experience in yoga, music, or healing is needed. It is particularly well suited for yoga instructors wanting to add sound to their teaching, wellness and healthcare professionals seeking a complementary healing modality, and individuals on a personal healing journey drawn to the power of sound and vibration.
The curriculum covers five core areas — the history, philosophy, and science of sound healing, hands-on training with Tibetan bowls, chakra sound healing and energetic work, designing and facilitating sound baths and sound journeys, and the ethics and art of holding a healing space.
By the end of the 7 days you will have the practical skills and confidence to facilitate sessions independently.
A sound bath is a group immersion — participants lie down and receive healing frequencies played live around them. It is passive, deeply relaxing, and restorative for the nervous system.
A sound journey is more intentional — incorporating a specific healing purpose, chakra-targeted work, and guided visualisation alongside the sound. Where a sound bath restores, a sound journey transforms. You will learn to facilitate both on this course.
Not at all. Sound healing is not about musical ability — it is about presence, intention, and understanding how frequency affects the body and energy field. All technical skills are taught from scratch across the 7 days. Sensitivity and a genuine desire to facilitate healing in others is all you need to arrive with.
No. All instruments will be provided at Shreem Yogshala throughout the course. After completing the programme, investing in your own instruments will support your ongoing practice and teaching.
Yes — the Sound Healing Course is fully residential and all-inclusive. Accommodation at Shreem Yogshala in North Goa and all daily sattvic vegetarian meals across the 7 days are included in the course fee.
Upon completion you will receive a Shreem Yogshala certificate of completion — a recognised credential in the sound healing and wellness space. For existing yoga teachers who have completed a yoga teacher training in India, Goa or elsewhere, this certification meaningfully expands your professional offering in retreats, studios, and private wellness settings.
There is no written examination. Assessment is entirely practical — your facilitators observe your developing relationship with the instruments, your understanding of chakra sound healing, and your ability to independently lead a sound bath or sound journey by the end of the 7 days.
Yes — and many students do. The Sound Healing Course pairs beautifully with the 100 Hour Yin Yoga & Sound Healing TTC, the 100 Hour Meditation & Yoga Nidra TTC, and even 200 hours TTC or any of our yoga courses in Goa to build a comprehensive and well-rounded wellness teaching profile.

Yes, absolutely. You are welcome to extend your stay at Shreem Yogshala & Wellness beyond the course duration for as long as you like. Many of our graduates choose to stay on to integrate their learning, deepen their personal practice, and simply soak in the peaceful energy of North Goa a little longer.
A nominal daily fee covers your accommodation, meals, and access to the daily practice sessions at the Yogshala based on your preference of stay.
Yes — we understand that a few weeks is rarely enough when you are deep in a yoga journey.
We do offer a very limited number of volunteership slots for graduates of our programmes at Shreem Yogshala. Volunteership opportunities vary depending on the type of service you wish to offer — whether that is assisting in yoga classes, supporting sound healing sessions, or contributing to the daily rhythm of the centre in other meaningful ways.
If volunteering feels right for you, we encourage you to reach out to us early as slots fill quickly. It is a rare and genuinely enriching way to continue your growth within the Shreem community.
