Postures for the lower body — hips, pelvis, hamstrings, groins, and outer thighs.
This training invites anyone who feels drawn to the slower, deeper side of yoga — and who understands that stillness is its own kind of strength. No advanced flexibility or prior teaching experience is required.
Upon completing all 100 hours — including attendance, peer teaching practicum, and assessment — you will receive a Yoga Alliance accredited 100 Hour Yin Yoga & Yoga Nidra Teacher Training certificate. This is internationally recognised and accepted by yoga studios, retreat centres, and wellness institutions worldwide.
Your program fee covers everything you need for a complete, distraction-free yoga training in Goa.
This is one of the most common questions we receive — and it is a genuinely important distinction for any teacher to understand clearly. While both practices are slow, floor-based, and deeply restful, they work in fundamentally different ways.
Yin Yoga | Restorative Yoga |

Mild productive discomfort is part of the practice | Complete ease and comfort is the entire point |
Develops flexibility, joint health, and energetic balance | Restores the nervous system; ideal for illness, trauma, or exhaustion |
Active practice — you are working with sensation | Passive practice — you are simply resting deeply |
Yes — and many students do exactly this. There are two ways to approach it:
Option 1 — Complete this 100 hour training first, then join our 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Goa. The 100 hour program deepens your personal practice and gives you a specialist foundation in Yin and Yoga Nidra. When you then move into the 200 hour TTC, you arrive with greater body awareness, stronger philosophy, and a richer understanding of how the deeper layers of yoga work — making the full 200 hours significantly more valuable.
Option 2 — Complete your 200 hour yoga teacher training in Goa first, then join this 100 hour specialisation as a continuing education program. This is the path many experienced teachers take when they want to diversify their teaching portfolio and add depth to what they already offer.
Not at all. Some familiarity with yoga is all what required. You do not need to be flexible, experienced in Yin, or to have ever been guided through a Yoga Nidra. Sincerity and openness are the only prerequisites.
Is this a Yoga Alliance certified program?
Yes. Shreem Yogshala is a Yoga Alliance registered school, and this yin yoga teacher training in Goa carries full Yoga Alliance accreditation. Upon completion you can register as a YACEP (Continuing Education Provider) — a recognised professional credential accepted internationally.
Many of our students come to this training precisely because they are navigating stress, burnout, or emotional difficulty. Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra are two of the most evidence-supported practices for nervous system regulation and rest. That said, if you have a diagnosed condition, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider before enrolling and letting us know at the time of booking so we can support you well.
